Venue: Perth stadium, Perth

Preview:

2nd match of todays big bash will provide the clash of the bottom dwellers.  Perth and Brisbane are getting heavy beating in this tournament.  Both teams lost their last match with both being last over finish. Brisbane haven’t opened their account yet while Perth have only one win fron 5 games.

Perth in their last match was given a task to chase 143 and their too concerned start had cost them the match. Skipper Turner fought till the last ball but just one run made all the differences. The top order was like a fused damp firecracker. Nobody could spart at all. This is the story of their whole season thus far. Andrew Tye is having a horror tournament, be it bowling pitch or batting he is leaking runs. And Klinger is not getting runs at a pace with Willey, Agar,  Bancroft just out of form. So they need to asses the lackings now or never.

Brisbane with a promising team have failed to win a single match till now. One would wonder what is wrong for them.  Lynn has got runs with little help from others but their bowling is just drowning them everytime. Not a single bowler is consistent for them and their pace attack is a very weak.one it seems. Cutting is making errs in lines with leaking many runs.Pattinson and Lalor don’t have enough venom to create fear. They are trying to win with big hitting and that can’t be good for them.

In the last five matches between these sidesPerth have 3 wins and Heats have two. The last time they met Brisbane made 191 and Perth could only get 142. But this time its on perths home ground and they are very good at their home.

Team news-

Matt Renshaw has been called into the heat side who would replace out of form Sam Heazlett. Mitch Marsh is back for the Perth and will do captains duty.

Perth Scorchers-

Michael Klinger, David willey, Mitch Marsh, Cameron Bancroft, Hilton Cartwright,  Ashton Turner, Ashton Agar, Nathan Coulter Nile, Jason Behrendorff, Andrew Tye, Jhye Richardson.

Brisbane Heat-

Chriss Lynn, Brendon Mccullum, Max Bryant, Matt Renshaw, Joe Burns, Ben Cutting, Alex Ross, Mitch Swepson, MUJEEB ur Rehman, Josh Lalor, James Pattinson.

Weather- The weather would be on the higher temperature side with 30℃ for today. Humidity will make a little bit of impact.

Ground- The ground is moderate but the outfield is very fast. Although the pitch has been criticised heavily because of its bowling friendly nature. 150 would be a tough total to get.

Toss- Teams would like to chase as putting runs on the board will be a difficult task on this wicket. Chasing would be easier as there will be target infront.

Prediction- A very much 50-50 match it is as both the teams are trying to get up from the bottom. Perth will be slight favorite because of their superior record in this ground. Brisbane would come hard but their bowling might take them down again.
