Christmas is over but Boxing day is on and Champion of the last edition Adelaide will visit Perth. Perth have had a dismal beginning so far. Adelaide played two with one loss and one win. Perth need a win to start their campaign but it won’t be easy.
Adelaide is on top form with their bowling wizard Rashid Khan doing magic for them. Last match they almost won just Nabi and Dan christian snatched it from them. So they will be hurt and will take on Perth very hard. Alex Carey, Weatherald and Ingram are playing very well. The bowling dept is very compact with variations. Rashid Khan, Billy Stanlake, ben Laughlin,Jake Lehman all bowl different kind of bowls. On paper Adelaide is much more stronger than Perth.
In the previous 5 encounters between them Perth have won three and Adelaide two but last 3 matches have been won by Perth. Adelaide would like to break the streak. But Perth are lacking the experience they previously had. Turner is the captain, Marsh brothers are not there with Voges being retired they are lacking the cool and calm effect on the team. All the players have to play their best game to defeat the Adelaide side. Otherwise the clock will be ticking for them to mark their end in the tounnament soon.
A one sided game is not what the spectators would like to see and Perth in front of their home crowd must come ahead to fight the visitors. Perth have defended well in previous seasons and Adelaide have failed to chase against Perth any decent score. So if they get to bat first the Perth batsmen have to put runs on the board.
Mitch Marsh has been called for boxing day test and will not be available for Perth. Adelaide will field an unchanged side. Both the teams have announced 13 man squad for boxing day.
Maichael Klinger, Sam whiteman, Ashton Turner, hilton Cartwright, Ashton agar, David Willey, Andrew Tye, Jye Richardson, Nathan coulter Nile, Jason Behrendorff, William Boshisto.
Jake Weatherald, Alex Carey, Colin Ingram, Jake Lehmann, Matt Short, Jon Wells, Cameron Valente, rashid Khan, Michael Nesser, Billy Stanlake,
Weather – Tomorrow will be a great day for cricket as forecast shows temparature in range of 20-23℃ with gentle breeze. So no worries for rains.
Ground – The ground is standard size and boundaries are not small at one side like Adelaide. So 160 will be a good total and Chasing might be difficult than batting 1st. Pitch will get slow with the innings progress.
Toss- Teams would like to bat, both the team have quality spinners and they will be the trump card tomorrow. Team batting first have to put runs but accelerating too much might cause downfall.
Prediction – Looking at the form of both teams Adelaide should win the match. Perth will have to do some wonders if they want to defeat the confident Adelaide team. We give Adelaide 90% chance to win.
