The league is touching the halfway mark with 6 teams truly contesting for the final 4 spot. Tomorrow Renegades and Hobart will take on the field. Hobart would lime to keep the streak going and Renegades would try to climb up the table.
Hobart have almost completed their journey to the top 4 as they have 5 wins from 5 matches. That is something extraordinary. Wade seems like has become a touchgold. His captaincy is doing Wonders. The previous captain Bailey is batting in top notch. His finishing touches have made sure that Hobart don’t have to be worried in any position. Hobarts have made the best journey this year and this is the best for them in all BBL Seasons. Tomorrow they will play in Renegades home ground and the pitch is tacky there. But the momentum and confidence that Hobart have now should blow away anything that comes.
Renegades will be boosted with the return of Aaron Finch the primary captain of Renegades. Tom Cooper will be a relieved man and it might help him to find some runs. Renegades this season is bowling pretty well but batsmen are spoiling all the bowling hard work. Finchs return would help the top order surely. Harvey should be benched otherwise the other players would remain same. Hobart will go with an unchanged squad. Finch would open with Sam Harper.
In the last five matches between these sides Renegades have a great record of 4-1. Hobarts only win came when they chased the all time BBL record of 222. We would definitely want to experience something like that again.
Aaron Finch is the only change for Renegades and Hobart will go unchanged for the sixth consecutive matches. This is happening for the first time in BBL for Hurricanes. It shows how confident they are now.
Melbourne Renegades –
Aaron Finch, Tom Cooper, Dan Christian, Mohammad Nabi, Kane Richardson, Usman Khan, Cameron Boyce, Jack Wildermuth, Cameron white, Sam Harper, Beau Webster
Darcy Short, Mathew Wade, George Bailey, Alex doolan, Simon Milenko, Jofra Archer, Clive Rose, Riley Meredith, Ben Mcdermott, Johan Botha, James Faulkner.
Weather- The weather report for tomorrow shows temperature of 28℃ max and zero chance of rains. North breeze will be blowing but not in a huge amount.
Ground- This season the matches that have been played here didn’t allow much of run flowing games. Moderate scores like 150-60 has been the trend and teams batting first have defended too but it doesn’t matter as chasing teams have won too. So scores around 160 should be competitive.
Toss- The team that will win the toss might choose to chase as batting first will create doubt about winning score. And Hobart is very good at chasing so they would definitely bowl and Renegades wouldn’t allow that, that why they would like to bowl too.
Prediction – Our prediction for tomorrow is Renegades. They have lost games in canter and Finch’s return should boost them to a win. Hobart will come hard but Renegades is favorite for tomorrow.
