Melbourne stars got back to winning ways but after losing some key players they lost their last match. Although their batters played well in absence of their star players but it wasn’t enough. Ben dunk has finally scored some big runs. Their new recruit Liam Plunkett didn’t show much of an impact but uncapped player Liam Bowe had a good outing. Against Adelaide they would need to be at their absolute best as Adelaide wins here most of the matches.
Adelaide have lost 3 important players in Carey, Siddle and Stanlake. But they have got back Travis Head and it will be a huge boost for the side. His omission from the national side is very surprising. But nonetheless it will give Adelaide Strikers some solidity. He will be the captain taking from Ingram. Harry nielsen has been called as a keeper to replace Carey. They lost their last match against Sixers so it will be very important match against the Stars. Wes Agar could get a chance as Stanlake is gone. Jon Wells is considered to be opening with Weatherald.
In the last seven matches Adelaide have 3 wins and Melbourne have 4. But Adelaide won the last outing between the sides. Team news- Lots of changes for both the sides but Head is back as Captain for Adelaide. Melbourne will be unchanged from their last match.

Ben Dunk, Nick Larkin, Seb Gotch, Evan Gulbis, Liam Bowe, Jackson Bird, Liam Plunkett, Nic Maddinson, Jonathan Merlo, Dwayne Bravo, Scott Boland.
Weather- Temperature will be close to 30 but the heat won’t be that much. Good weather to play a match.
Ground- The ground is short on one side and that becomes a factor. Pitch is suitable for.spinners and medium pacers. A lil bit on the slower side and scores of 160-65 can be a very good score.
Toss- Batting first here is a good option as pitch becomes slow later on. But Melbourne might choose the other as they feel more comfortable to it.
Prediction – Adelaide is red hot favourite for this game. 90% chance for Adelaide to win this match. Stars will need something special to turn the table.
